Takayama is located at 4 train hours from central Tokyo. This is a very beautiful little town in the heart of Japanese Alps in Gifu Prefecture.
The first part of the trip will be made by express train (260 km / hour) the second by regional train that will make you discover the most beautiful landscapes of the region.
In Takayama, the ideal place to stay in a ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn furnished with low tables, sliding doors and tatami floors.

We suggest you to explore the city to learn a little more about its history. Possibility to reach at 15 minutes by bike on pretty village of farmers from Hida Furukawa known for the quality of its sake, rice fields and beautiful surrounding landscapes.
