A certain art of living is cultivated in Hvar within a preserved oasis… In the north-west of the island is the authentic fishing village of Stari Grad which constitutes its historic heart.
Featuring a maze of ornate staircases, sculpted balconies, arched passages and walled gardens, this “old town”, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to a Dominican monastery dating from the 15th and 16th centuries as well as a chapel from the 12th century.

It is by following the path planted with pines which runs along Maslina and the sea, that one gains, just a few steps away, the reward of a creek, with its beach, accessible to all, and still wild. Behind the brushwood, a decked terrace reserved for hotel guests reveals itself to the most curious of eyes. Sunbathing suddenly takes on a taste of freedom in this preserved natural setting.
In the distance stretches the hotel's famous vegetable garden. Hotel guests have the opportunity to stroll there, in the middle of the preserved Mediterranean vegetation and the aromatic herbs which come to decorate the menus of the restaurants and the oils of treatments of the Spa. The vegetable garden becomes a place for walking and can, at the same time, be transformed into a place of reception, in the middle of the olive trees.
