French nationals can enter Colombian territory without a visa for a tourist visit lasting a maximum of three months, which may however be reduced when entering the territory. At the end of this period, an extension may be requested from the administrative security department. This extension cannot, however, exceed six months.
The yellow fever vaccine is mandatory for travelers from Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Angola, as well as to enter Colombian national parks.

Close to the equator, Colombia has two seasons: summer, the dry season from June to October, and winter, and the rainy season from November to May. The climate is different depending on the region: humid tropical on the Caribbean coast of Colombia and in the Amazon, heat of the plains, temperate climate in Bogota, harsh in the high altitude areas and desert in the Guajija. The best time to travel is the dry season, avoiding the weeks from mid-December to mid-January, which are very popular with Colombian vacationers.

Upon arrival at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, you will be transferred to your hotel in the northern areas of the city.
The rest of the afternoon is free for you to enjoy, at your own pace, the attractive and lively capital that Bogota.

After breakfast, you will start your morning discovering Colombian treasures.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will go through streets of Candelari for a walk in the world of emeralds. By visiting processing workshops and shops, but also artisans and dealers, you will learn to recognize the most beautiful stones.
Then you will visit the Gold Museum which presents an extraordinary collection of pre-Hispanic objects as well as 34.000 gold and Tumbac coins. This museum, certainly one of the most fascinating in the country, is a must!
Finally, participate in a introduction to the scents of Colombian coffee with a tasting of three coffees from one of the finest fincas in the country.
Note: the order and content of the activities are given as an indication depending on the day of the week (Gold Museum closed on Mondays).

This afternoon, you will discover another facet of the Colombian capital, the "Zona Rosa". Surrounded by numerous shops, gourmet restaurants and hotels, this area is one of the most popular places to live in Bogota.

After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Pereira.
City Pereira, located in the heart of the “Coffee Triangle”, is part of the territory that UNESCO declared World Heritage. Composed of three departments (Quindío, Risaralda and Caldas), it is here that grows nearly 10% of the world coffee supply.
After your transfer to your hotel, a guide will take you into the colorful world of exotic fruits to enjoy a tasting! Let yourself be surprised by the diversity of colors, tastes and textures.
At dinner time, at the end of the hotel's garden, a table will have been prepared especially for you. Enjoy your meal !
Night at the Sazagua hotel in a Premium Suite room.
In the morning you will be transferred to a prestigious Finca of coffee.
Later, enjoy a plantation nestled on the heights of the Quindio Valley to learn everything about coffee through a professional explanation of the whole process.
You will then participate in an extraordinary taste and sensory adventure. In the skin of a “catador”, the master roasters will make you feel the soul of real Colombian coffee thanks to different methods of coffee preparation.
A gourmet lunch will be served in the heart of the private finca.
Then, you will leave to discover a Typical Hacienda near Salento. This is also where you will start your Horseback riding in the Cocora Valley, during which you can enjoy the typical landscapes of the Coffee Triangle.
Transfer between Salento and Pereira.

Today, you will take the road towards the Risaralda and Medellin region.
Dinner and overnight at the Patio del Mundo hotel in a Suite room.
This day will be dedicated to the visit of Medellin.
A walk in the pedestrian streets of the Carabobo district will allow you to discover different styles of architecture, from National Palace to the Basilica Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, before reaching the Plaza Botero where are exhibited bronze statues of the famous artist.
You will access the heights of Medellin by metro-cable (cable car) to enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Arvi park.
Then, direction comuna 13, known to have been a hotbed of urban violence and Medellin. The arrival of the Metrocable, the construction of a design library, a hospital center among others show the renewal of this district. Many graffiti are now part of the landscape of these municipalities and you will discover their meanings. The artist collective Casa Kolacho will explain how they were able to save hundreds of young people from armed conflict through culture.
Note: The metocable is closed on public holidays (generally Mondays in Colombia) as well as on the Tuesday following the public holiday.
Night at the Hotel Patio del Mundo in a Suite room.
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Medellin Airport. You will embark bound for Cartagena of India.
After your installation at the hotel located in the historic center, enjoy your free end of day to discover the legendary city that is Cartagena, listed as a World Heritage Site by the'UNESCO.
At the end of the afternoon, departure towards the south of the bay on a sailboat, around the " Virgen del Carmen Then to the north of Tierra Bomba for sunset. Detour through the center of Cartagena, the dock of "pegasos".
You will dock directly to Pesca Club (specialty fish and seafood) for dinner, one of the best tables in the old town. This restaurant is located in the heart of the city walls, with spectacular views of Cartagena Bay.
