French nationals do not require a visa for a stay of less than three months in Peninsular Malaysia and the State of Sabah, but they must be in possession of a passport valid for at least six months. after the end date of stay and a return ticket or continuation of the trip. The local authorities strictly applying these provisions, travelers with an expired passport, or whose validity is less than six months, will be rejected upon arrival.

Tourists going to the state of Sarawak obtain a residence permit valid for one month upon their arrival in that state:

Around 9:00 a.m., your guide will be waiting for you to explore Kuala Lumpur's Hindu culture.

Start with a greeting in the traditional language, Tamil. Vanakkam! The smallest of Malaysia's three main ethnic groups, Malaysian Indians make up around 10% of the population. Descendants mostly of Tamil-speaking South Indian immigrants, they came to Malaysia during British colonial rule. With their colorful culture, spicy cuisine, among others, they have changed the look of Kuala Lumpur.

Visit the local hindu temple to receive a priest's blessing local. This is the opportunity to crack a coconut for the deity.

Day of historical discovery and gastronomic trails to Ipoh. Start from the Kuala Lumpur Sentral station. Ipoh was famous for its tin-containing valley known as the “City of Millionaires” during the Tin Rush. It is also the birthplace of Malaysian white coffee.

Sit back and observe the different landscapes of the road that will take you to the picturesque town of Ipoh, nestled among magnificent limestone mountains.

Start the walking tour on the Ipoh heritage trail, a leisurely stroll around the historic old town of Ipoh. Go through the Ipoh mosque and head to the Birch Memorial Clock Tower, built in 1909 in memory of James WW Birch, the first British resident of Perak.

Stop for a few famous traditional snacks. Ipoh's cookies and pastries date back to the early 1900s, when they were traditionally offered at Chinese festivals. Today they are still made by hand.

End the walking tour in the anime Concubine lane, home to Ipoh's best antiques and fantastic architecture.

Transfer back to the hotel.

Meeting with the English-speaking driver at 09:00 a.m. and transfer to temple of Kek Lok Tong cave. Head to the Kek Lok Tong cave temple (The cave temple has been a place of worship since the 1920s). 45 minutes will be enough to explore the site with several Buddhist figures. Continue to Gua Temperung Caves, one of the deepest in the Malay Peninsula. Take a well-lit and maintained walking path on platforms of different heights to admire the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Return to Ipoh and learn to make a traditional lantern and showcase this age-old craft with a lantern master who is one of the few traditional lantern makers in Malaysia.

Ipoh - Suka Suka Lake Retreat

Leave Ipoh with an English speaking driver to make the route to  Kuala Kangsar. Upon arrival in the royal city, visit the village of Sayong, where many traditional malay houses still remain along the banks of the Perak river

Then continue to a ubudiah mosque before going to Royal Museum, building which houses a temporary residence of HRH Sultan Iskandar Shah of Perak.

Have a local lunch in Kuala Kangsar before continuing for 45 minutes with a traditional Malay family to enjoy a two night homestay stay in Suka Suka Homestay in a traditional Malay house with Mr. Aziz and his family. Located on the edge of chenderoh lake à Perak, take an introductory tour, then choose to relax at the back of the lake and forested mountains or go for a kayak trip two and a half hours before a barbecue dinner composed of local products, followed by traditional games.

This morning, meet the guide in the hotel lobby at 08:30 am and travel to the hotel in the heart of Georgetown. Participate in a morning workshop with Mr. Lee, Georgetown's last traditional incense stick maker. Learn about this traditional business with the legacy living in its pre-war store on Stewart Lane.
